Carolina Wild Rose
Rosa carolina
More fragrant than other wild native roses, Carolina Wild Rose is a low-growing shrub that can grow into a thicket if left to sprawl. Bright pink flowers emerge on prickly stems in spring, attracting pollinating insects. In late summer, bright red rosehips appear, attracting birds as well as providing vitamin C.
